Jameson studied guitar and free improvisation with Joe Morris and composition with Anthony Coleman at the New England Conservatory of Music.  While in Boston, Jameson also spent over a year assisting, studying, and watching films with original Third-Stream pianist, Ran Blake.

The guitarist has recorded with Anthony Coleman for New World Records, and is a third of the rock group Grand Lake (Hippies Are Dead Records).

Mr. Swanagon currently resides in San Francisco with his wife Danae.  In addition to a number of rock, free music and jazz collaborations, he performs solo finger-style concerts consisting of tightly composed, very sparse, vignettes he thinks of as sad toys.  He teaches guitar, jazz, and free music, and is currently on the faculty at the Vibo Music Center.
